Setting up your screen
Welcome to the ultimate guide on widget options and behavior!

Name lists can be used for the Group maker and the Randomizer widget. With a Basic account, you can save three name lists, and with a Pro account, you can save up to 100 lists!
tip:
Click here to open the name list tab in your dashboard.
If you press '+ Create new name list', a screen opens where you can enter a title and type or copy and paste the names from an external document. Make sure you have entered one name per line. When all students have been entered, press the 'Create' button to save the list.
If you do not want to enter your students' names, you can use the suggestions available to create an alternative identifier. This may come in handy when you are establishing groups for a game or in case of student privacy concerns. So, try out our automated options by clicking on the magic wand whenever you see the 'Suggestions' button.
You can choose from several different lists, including:
Modify the list by pressing the 'Options' button next to the title. There, you can change the name, set it as the default list, duplicate it, and also delete it.
Did you know that you can set student pairings behind the scenes? Simply click the 'Options' button next to a student's name to access the 'Settings'.
Here, you can change the name of a student and also exclude or prioritize combinations with other students from the list (when using this feature in the Group maker widget). This will not be visible when using the widget, which is a nice little classroom management tool to ensure that students work well together.
If you have a list that you often use, we recommend that you 'Star' this list. By pressing the star next to the title, the widgets that use name lists will automatically select the favorited list when the widget is launched.
note:
You can favorite only one name list at a time.
Of course! You can even add emojis, like in our Emoji story generator template! Do you have regular questions you ask the class, or do you want to practice numeracy? No problem, simply enter the symbols or questions you need per line, and you're all set.
