Payment options

Last updated:

Since teachers based all over the world use Classroomscreen, there will be different payment options available to you depending on where you live.

note:

In this article we focus on payment options for individual Pro subscribers. If your school is interested in an Organization account (with five or more licenses), please view your payment options here.

You can see our plans and easily purchase a subscription by credit or debit card on the pricing page. Once you choose a 'Pro' or 'Organization' account and your payment is processed, your account will be automatically upgraded.

To ensure secure and reliable payment processing, we use two trusted payment providers: Stripe and Paddle. Both platforms support Visa, Mastercard, as well as most other card types.

Here is a quick summary of how you can pay depending on where you live.

If you live in the US or Canada, you can pay with Visa, Mastercard, as well as most other card types. Additional payment methods, like PayPal, may vary by state.

You may need to ensure that your bank has not blocked foreign transactions. If you have any issues using your credit card or wish to use another payment method, please contact us for support.

tip:

Would you prefer to pay with PayPal and it is not an option in your checkout? Please use our alternative PayPal checkout.

The price of a Classroomscreen Pro subscription is set according to your location and currency:

  • European customers are charged in Euros (EUR), UK customers in Pound sterling (GBP), and customers outside of Europe in US Dollars (USD).
  • For example, the individual subscription is 36 per year, billed in USD for the USA, EUR for EU/EEA, and GBP for the UK. For the rest of the world, the fee is in USD.

If your bank is showing that you were charged more, it is likely due to currency conversion. When you make the payment, your bank may convert the USD amount to your local currency based on current exchange rates, and there might be additional currency conversion fees from your bank or credit card provider. All conversion fees are from your payment provider, and not from Classroomscreen directly.

If your credit card is declined, an error message may explain what went wrong. Please check your card details and try again. If you checkout via Stripe, you can view the corresponding code meaning and determine how to resolve the issue.

tip:

You may need to contact your bank to ensure that they have not blocked foreign transactions from your account, since we are located in the Netherlands.

If the issue continues, you can try one of the alternative payment options listed below.

  1. Log in with your Classroomscreen account.
  2. Enable the option to upgrade with Paypal by clicking the following link (or copy/paste this link into your browser - https://classroomscreen.com/app/checkout-pro-paddle).

This option is only available when purchasing an Organization account (with five or more licenses). Please request a quote if you wish to use this method.

important:

We do not accept checks, as Dutch banks cannot process them, but we may be able to offer an alternative solution - please mention your needs when reaching out in case we can help.

If you would like to download your receipt you can do that on the Subscription tab in your account settings. Depending on the payment provider you'll find options to manage your subscription on the right-hand side under subscription details.

  1. Go to the Subscription page.
  2. Choose 'Manage subscriptions & payments'.
  3. You will be redirected to the customer portal from your payment provider.
  4. You will see the option to view and download your invoice and receipt.

We protect your credit card information and the transmission of your information using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. SSL is a secure communication protocol that blocks the possibility of a third party breaching the communication or your payment information. We do not have access to your credit card information - all payment details are handled by our payment providers, Stripe and Paddle, to maximize security.
