About this template

This six-slide template combines movement, repetition, and student choice to reinforce decoding and word recognition skills in a fun, interactive way.

How it works

Each screen includes a Roll & Read board with rows or columns of words, a virtual dice, a student name randomizer, a one-minute timer, and drag-and-drop stickers for tracking correct responses.

When a student rolls the dice, they read the corresponding row or column aloud. If read correctly, they cover each word with a sticker to show progress.

tip:

The template also includes a hyperlink to the University of Florida Literacy Institute (UFLI), offering access to additional printable Roll & Read boards for extended use.

Perfect for centers, small groups, intervention, or whole-class reading warm-ups, this game supports decoding, confidence, and classroom participation in a structured, game-like format.
