What's new in Classroomscreen: April 2026

If your Dashboard looks a little different, don’t worry — you’re in the right place! In this post, we’ll walk you through the new layout, improved organization tools, and an exciting new widget.

We've spent the last two years redesigning the entire application from the ground up to make your teaching life simpler, whether you’re using it on your own or as part of a school community. For teachers, it’s a faster, more intuitive way to create and manage lessons through better storage, filtering and navigation options.

Say goodbye to collections and workspaces and hello to screen decks and folders. This new structure makes it easier than ever to manage your teaching materials while keeping everything tidy and accessible.

All your screens will now appear on the 'All screens' page when you open the application, rather than in the first workspace. This makes it easier to view everything you’ve created in one place.

Screen decks replace collections, with different display and filtering options so you can keep on top of your resources. Colorful icons and clean tiles make it easy to see who created each deck, how many screens it has, and where it belongs.

Your old workspaces have been upgraded to folders, which are simpler to customize and visually organized. Give each folder a name, choose an icon color, and keep your screen decks perfectly organized.

Your Name lists and Backgrounds are now stored neatly above your Folders in the Dashboard, making them easy to access whenever you’re preparing your next lesson.

tip:

Try out the new display and filter options to find a layout that suits you best. The “Expanded” view will feel most familiar if you’ve used Classroomscreen before.

From your Dashboard, you can start a new screen deck from scratch or choose one of our ready-made templates from the Library. Every template you use is automatically saved to your Dashboard or Team workspace — no extra setup needed!

When you open Classroomscreen without logging in, you’ll now see a short welcome message before you begin. From there, you can choose to start from scratch or pick from one of our ready-made templates — perfect for trying things out quickly.

If you prefer not to see this reminder again, simply tick the box to hide it in the future.

As part of this update, we've also added a new widget especially for PDFs. Now you can upload and click through PDFs directly on your Classroomscreen! Perfect for displaying lesson plans, worksheets, or reading materials with ease.

Pro users can store their PDFs for later use, just like the Image widget. Basic users can upload and use PDFs freely without storage.

update:

You can also now copy and paste images as well as PDFs straight into Classroomscreen! It's the little things that make the difference, so it was super exciting to be able to add this highly requested feature while working on this widget.

At the bottom-left corner of your Dashboard, you’ll find three key tabs:

  • Settings: Manage your profile, subscription, and language preferences.
  • Updates: Stay up to date on new widgets, templates, and feature releases.
  • Help: Browse how-to guides, watch short tutorials, or contact our support team directly.

Everything you need to manage your account and stay informed is now in one convenient place.

We can’t wait to see how you and your colleagues use the new Classroomscreen to power your classrooms this school year.
