About this template

A fun, interactive math activity where students practice counting, addition, and multiplication with money while 'buying' fruit from different market setups.

How it works

Screen 1: Counting apples 🍏

  • The first screen shows crates of apples with one fixed price per apple.
  • Students count the apples and calculate the total cost.

Screen 2: Mixed fruit challenge 🍓🍊🍌

  • A randomizer generates the number of each fruit students need to "buy."
  • They add up the total price based on the given cost per item.

Screen 3: Let's go shopping! 🛒

  • Students use multiplication to calculate the total cost of their chosen fruit.

tip:

Introduce real-life role-play by giving students a budget and letting them decide how much fruit they can buy and how much change would be left.
