We worked hard this back-to-school season to bring you updates that will make a big difference in your daily teaching, including a new spinner wheel, UX improvements and some hidden gems!
The Randomizer has gotten a refresh with a whole new format: the Spinner wheel! To access it, head to the widget settings and select the 'Settings' tab to choose your format. The Spinner wheel displays all the possible names, with a spinning animation when each name is chosen.
There are various available color options for the wheel. You can either choose for it to follow an existing or custom color theme, or for it to be multicolored in vibrant or pastel shades.
tip:
If you have lots of names or items to choose between, you can zoom in and just see the relevant portion of it.
We will be adding this new format of the Randomizer into various templates in the coming weeks and developing more using this new functionality, so watch this space!
We've also tweaked small things around the application that you might not have noticed, so let's quickly run through them.
Sometimes you just need to grab the attention of the class, so we've sneaked in a little alert you can sound in just one button press. If you press '2' on your keyboard, a bell will chime - simple as that.
You can now reorder screens while in your current screen deck, just head to the navigation panel and click on the '𐄛' to open the options for each screen and move them up or down in the deck order.
It is also now possible to restore individual screens you might have deleted from a screen deck by heading to your Profile icon and selecting 'Recently deleted'.
You can now use keyboard shortcuts to undo/redo the changes you make in-screen.

You can also use the new widget bar button to manually click undo or redo. This feature applies to all changes, including annotations and widget movements.
Since we started the Library in April 2024, we have been working hard to add lots of new screens regularly. We have now reached over 200 total templates, with 25% coming directly from teachers like you. The Library to-date has been accessed by over 500,000 teachers and it has become a central part of what we offer here at Classroomscreen.
Having built this strong foundation, we will now be focusing solely on teacher-made templates and improving existing screens with new features. Do you have a screen you want to share?
