About this template
Ideal for early readers (K–3), this game helps students improve word recognition and pronunciation while building confidence and having fun.
How to play
Using a built-in Dice widget, students take turns moving across the game board. Each tile features a sight word. To stay on the tile, they must pronounce the word correctly. If they mispronounce it, they slide back one space.
Following classic Shoots & ladders mechanics:
- Ladders: Land on one and pronounce the word correctly? You climb!
- Slides (Snakes): Land on one and mispronounce the word? You slide down.
