About this template

Bring energy and structure to your classroom with this simple and fun movement game!

How it works

This digital version of the playground game uses a Traffic light widget to cue student actions in real time.

Each light color corresponds to a different motion:

  • Green light: Hop
  • Yellow light: Take tiny steps
  • Red light: Stop and freeze

tip:

You can change the meaning of each light to suit your classroom in the Text widget above each light.

If a student makes the wrong move, then they are out! This game can also be a race from one side of the room to the other, with students doing incorrect movements being sent back to the start - your classroom, your rules! Perfect for movement breaks, rainy day activities, or as a fun warm-up before a lesson.
