About this template

Students look at a grid of randomly placed numbers and trace paths between them - horizontally, vertically, or diagonally - as long as each number connects to the next.

How it works

There are 5 pre-made Noggle boards for you to use.

Students must find number combinations that add up to exactly 20 through multiplication, addition, substraction. Numbers must be connected (side-to-side or top-to-bottom).

Game rules:

  • Each number can only be used once per combination.
  • Players may use 2 or more numbers in a sum.
  • The more combinations found, the better!

Give students 2–3 minutes to find as many sums of 20 as they can. Let them come up to the board to circle or highlight their paths, or write them down to share after.
