About this template
Inspired by the classic radio show, Just a Minute is a dynamic speaking game designed to boost students’ oral fluency, quick thinking, and confidence.
How to play
This interactive template includes a one-minute timer, a random topic generator, a student selector and a scoreboard to keep track of participants’ points.
Students take turns selecting a topic and speaking on it for a full minute without hesitation, repetition, or deviation. The timer counts down visually with points awarded for how long they speak on topic. Peers or the teacher monitor for errors, awarding points accordingly.
