About this template
Combine the simplicity of Tic Tac Toe with the strategy of chess! This engaging game introduces chess movements in a fun, interactive way while encouraging critical thinking and planning ahead.
How to play
The game board is a 4x4 grid and each player has a set of chess pieces (e.g., a knight, bishop, or rook).
Players take turns placing or moving their chess pieces on the grid. Each piece must follow its traditional chess movement rules (e.g., knights move in an L-shape, rooks move in straight lines).
How to win: The goal is to align three of your pieces in a row, column, or diagonal, just like in Tic Tac Toe. Strategically block your opponent while planning your path to victory!

You can use this game to introduce chess to beginners or reinforce movement rules for more advanced students.
As students play Tic Tac Chec, we recommend encouraging them to discuss their strategies, analyze their opponent's moves, and reflect on their decision-making process.
Explanations of the rules can be found in this video.
