About this template

Mirror Mirror is a perfect activity to promote focus, coordination, and teamwork among elementary and middle school students.

How it works

  1. Students find a buddy and stand one arm's length apart from each other. Partners decide who will start as the lead and who will copy.
  2. When the timer begins, the lead performs simple actions (e.g., waving, clapping, or stretching), while their buddy mirrors their movements as closely as possible, syncing up in perfect harmony.
  3. When time is up, students switch roles and repeat the activity for another minute.

This engaging brain break for the classroom helps students reset their minds, improve focus, and develop teamwork and observational skills. It’s a simple, no-prep activity ideal for transitions or moments when your class needs a quick burst of energy.
